"Dear Sunshine Canyon,
I want to thank you for rescuing me and getting me to Colorado and finding me my forever home. This past week has been so great. I'm learning my new house and back yard. I have a lot of sisters. The first day I didn't like them. They were all bigger and scared me and by not seeing them I was scared and my past survival life came out. I was introduced one at a time, We now get along and I love them! They still scare me sometimes when one comes up and I didn't hear her, but we are all working on that. Here is a picture of me and my 3 little sisters asleep on the couch. I guess we took up too much room and Lily, my big sis, had to find another nap place." We love that there are homes out there even for senior, blind dogs like Dilly. Thank you Bill and Sheila for rescuing her, and Julee Herdt for fostering her and nursing her back to health.

Bubba who came to us just two weeks ago has found his forever family and they are just smitten. Sometimes if someone wants to get a dog (or second dog) it takes their partner some time to warm up to the idea if they are not as ready, just like in this case. The hubby was not totally sold the first day he met Bubba, so we told them they could have the week to make sure it was a great fit. We got a call this week from Bubba's new Mom saying how attached Bubba and her husband were and it was so funny to watch since he was the one who was a little unsure. She said they do everything together and have a special bond that she has never seen, and that Bubba is his little shadow. We LOVE getting calls like this, and we are just so happy for Bubba!!! He is getting to explore the CO mountains with his new sister and is enjoying every minute of it.
