Frida (formerly known as Marshmellow) went on her first backpacking trip and it was a huge success! She is clearly a Colorado dog, loves to be outside and loves adventures! She loves to cuddle and loves taking in the beautiful outdoors, as long as she is with her humans.

Molly, formerly known as Cotton is doing so well! She graduated from puppy classes and is enrolled in an intermediate class! She loves to play fetch and bully sticks are her favorite! She can sit on command, shake, lay down and waits patiently on the curbs! She is so sweet, we love her to pieces!
"Dear Sunshine Canyon,
I want to thank you for rescuing me and getting me to Colorado and finding me my forever home. This past week has been so great. I'm learning my new house and back yard. I have a lot of sisters. The first day I didn't like them. They were all bigger and scared me and by not seeing them I was scared and my past survival life came out. I was introduced one at a time, We now get along and I love them! They still scare me sometimes when one comes up and I didn't hear her, but we are all working on that. Here is a picture of me and my 3 little sisters asleep on the couch. I guess we took up too much room and Lily, my big sis, had to find another nap place." We love that there are homes out there even for senior, blind dogs like Dilly. Thank you Bill and Sheila for rescuing her, and Julee Herdt for fostering her and nursing her back to health. Bubba who came to us just two weeks ago has found his forever family and they are just smitten. Sometimes if someone wants to get a dog (or second dog) it takes their partner some time to warm up to the idea if they are not as ready, just like in this case. The hubby was not totally sold the first day he met Bubba, so we told them they could have the week to make sure it was a great fit. We got a call this week from Bubba's new Mom saying how attached Bubba and her husband were and it was so funny to watch since he was the one who was a little unsure. She said they do everything together and have a special bond that she has never seen, and that Bubba is his little shadow. We LOVE getting calls like this, and we are just so happy for Bubba!!! He is getting to explore the CO mountains with his new sister and is enjoying every minute of it.
Hogan was wondering the streets of TX, hairless and afraid, before joining our rescue. Now he has a forever family to snuggle up to every night. He finally understands what life can be about.
I'm sure you all remember little Teddy, he couldn't even walk when we first took him into our rescue. After tons of vet visits, chiropractic appointments, and physical therapy we figured out this little guy is just happiest being a lap dog and will probably never be an avid walker. He found the most loving home possible with twin sisters who wanted nothing more than to snuggle and love a dog through it's old age. We could not have asked for a better home for Teddy. He is SO loved and he finally knows it. His adopters say they fight over who gets to hold him all the time and he never has to be alone. We are so happy for Teddy!
Elle was born without eyes. Erin started off just fostering Elle but after about two days decided she wanted to keep her! It has been a real treat watching her gain confidence with the help of her brother & of course, Erin!
We are so so happy for you, Elle! Dasher is home for the holidays!! She was welcomed into this home as a foster pup and quickly won them over! Her days are now filled with love, snuggles & playtime, what every puppy deserves. We couldn't be happier for you, Dasher!
Little Oxford has found his forever home. He is already so spoiled and loving his big brother! Look at him all bundled and ready for his first winter in CO. Bring on the snow!!
Lee was one of the Chiweenies who was adopted from us about 5 months ago is living a life of luxury. His mom says he is the sweetest dog she has ever had, and has even made her Boston Terrier more social and well behaved. He is so spoiled and even gets to sleep in bed with his mama and the rest of the dogs. He loves his doggy brothers so much and loves to just run around the back yard with them all day! WHAT A LUCKY BOY!
